Household waste is accepted at all Recycling Centers (formerly known as Convenience Centers) EXCEPT Haley Road.

Please read the Recycling Rules and Hours for our centers to assist in your visit.

We Provide: 

• Compactors to dispose of bags of trash
  Only one (1) visit per day with the equivalent of one (1) pickup truck load is allowed.
• Open-top containers for bulk items.
• Only one (1) visit per day with the equivalent of one (1) pickup truck load is allowed.
• *Bulk items refer to materials such as couches, mattresses and box springs, garage contents and other furniture pieces.
• *Bulk items are not accepted on Sundays.
• Bulk items are limited to three (3) items per day.
• *The open-top containers stand about six (6) feet tall. If you need help getting an item over into them, you will need to bring that help with you.

What is Collected
Electronics, with an electric cord or battery operated, are recycling at the rate of $0.33 per pound. Common items accepted are televisions, computer monitors, printers, medical/office equipment and any other electronic device that contains a motherboard or other potentially hazardous materials.

Televisions and Computer Monitor Fees

The fees will be accepted by credit or debit card. There is a minimum charge of $2 for credit card use.

All Electronic Recycling is $0.33 per pound.

Effective Tuesday, May 26, 2015 - All citizens will be required to pay a disposal fee for televisions and computer monitors. This is due to the hazardous material content that must be disposed of properly. This is the fee that the County is charged by the vendor for proper disposal; the County does not profit in any way from the fee. All other electronics, either with an electric cord or battery operated, are disposed of free-of-charge.

Latex paint (water based) must be completely dried.  It can then be disposed of in the regular trash. 

Oil-based paint is only accepted at the Haley Road location.
