The Rutherford County Landfill will be closed on Friday & Monday, December 23rd and 26^th for Christmas. The landfill will also be closed Friday, December 30th, 2022 & Monday, January 2nd, 2023 for the New Year’s holiday.

The Rutherford County Landfill, not to be confused with the Middle Point Landfill, is the Rutherford County-operated Class III/IV Landfill.

Public Notices

> Effective July 1, 2019, all residents and commercial will be charged for tires and brush.

> Starting February 23, 2018, the Rutherford County Landfill will no longer accept construction or demolition materials.

> The Rutherford County Landfill will only continue to accept brush and off-the-rim tires.

> Tires are $1.00 per tire or $65.00 a ton and brush is $30.00 a ton.
